Providence Bay Tent and Trailer Park - A Perfect Base for Island Exploration

Providence Bay Tent and Trailer Park was our home base for exploring Manitoulin Island. The spacious site accommodated our 28-foot RV effortlessly, offering easy access to the beach and essential amenities.

We spend the afternoon relaxing on the pristine Providence Bay Beach, with its sandy shores and crystal-clear blue waters, highlighting the natural beauty that makes it one of Ontario's finest.

In the late afternoon, we strolled along the beach boardwalk to Providence Bay, enjoying fish and chips at Huron Fish & Chips and coffee at Providence Peace Cafe.

Exploring Manitoulin's Attractions

An early start the following day ensured a parking spot at Bridal Veil Falls, the island's most popular attraction. You can walk behind the 11-meter-high cascade and swim in the natural pool below and hike the trails.

The parking by the falls is limited, especially for a large RV, but you can find more parking options in the nearby hamlet of Kagawong.

Kagawong is a treasure trove of beautiful handcrafted items and sweet treats. During our visit, we indulged our sweet tooth with some delightful treats from Manitoulin Chocolate and Boobahloo Candy. We also had a great time exploring the lovely shops and galleries in the area.

Gore Bay and Beyond

Heading west to Gore Bay, Split Rail Brewery welcomed us with the aroma of Jamaica. Jerk chicken and beer provided a delicious experience against the backdrop of Lake Huron.

As the afternoon transitioned into evening at Providence Bay Beach, the spectacular sunset marked the end of our northern Ontario RVing adventure.
